Morgan Lim
Position
Morgan found his love for volleyball while attending California State University, San Bernardino—a small state school where volleyball reigned as the most competitive sport on campus. After watching the team finish as Division II national runner-ups his freshman year, he was drawn in by the energy and excitement of the game and decided to start playing himself. Today, Morgan focuses on improving his ability to give and receive feedback between points, fostering communication that strengthens team performance. He’s learned that one of the greatest assets a player can bring to any team is the ability to elevate others—through positivity, clear communication, and a deep understanding of one’s role on the court. For Morgan, mental toughness means recognizing and managing frustration, staying self-aware, and finding strategies to move forward productively. His outlook on the game is as grounded as it is inspiring: you can be older, out of shape, and still be a baller. Before each match, his ritual is simple yet effective—chug some pre-workout, take a bit of ibuprofen, and get ready to go.
